Why It's Harder to Outsource When You're Multi-Passionate …and Why You Should Do It Anyway
You’ve probably heard this advice before: “Just outsource it!”
Your time is precious. Delegating tasks is the key to growth. Focus on what only you can do.
And yes, that advice is valid. But if you’re a multi-passionate, creative entrepreneur: someone who’s used to doing it all, and doing it well — then you know it’s not always that simple.
Because when you can do something yourself (and do it well), it feels harder to justify handing it off and we start to view it as “wasting” money.
The DIY Dilemma
You’d never second-guess outsourcing your taxes. Why?
Because you're not an accountant and don’t want to be. It’s an easy no-brainer.
But something like Marketing? Branding? Content creation?
You could do that. You’ve got ideas. You understand your audience. You’ve even done it successfully before.
So the thought of paying someone to do something you're already capable of doing feels... indulgent. Or unnecessary. Or even a little lazy.
But here's the truth: Just because you're capable doesn't mean it's the best use of your time.
Capability vs. Capacity
Being good at something doesn’t automatically make it a priority.
If you’re trying to grow your business, deepen client relationships, or move into a new season of expansion — your capacity is the real bottleneck, not your capability.
You might be able to write all your captions, design your website, manage your systems, edit your Reels, and plan your content calendar.
But to do all of that well (consistently, strategically, and without burning out) would require time and energy you don’t actually have.
And when you spread yourself too thin, the real magic you bring to your clients? That suffers.
Reframing Outsourcing as Expansion
Outsourcing isn't about laziness or lack of skill. It's about stepping into the next version of yourself as a business owner.
It’s about protecting your creative energy and mental clarity so you can show up where it matters most: with your clients, in your vision, and inside the parts of the business only you can lead.
Yes, it’s vulnerable.
Especially when your identity is wrapped up in being the person who “does it all.”
But choosing support is powerful.
It’s a signal to yourself (and your business) that you're no longer available for the hustle of doing everything alone. You're building something bigger — and that version of you knows how to choose to grow on purpose.
If You’re Ready to Let Go , But Don't Know Where to Start
Start small. Ask yourself:
What drains me the most?
What could I stop doing and still see results?
What do I want to spend more time on, but never get to?
Then look at who’s already doing that thing well, and reach out.
Trust me: the relief you’ll feel when someone else finally gets it off your plate? Worth every penny.
If you want support that blends creative direction, brand clarity, and a no-fluff approach to structure, well honey, that’s what I do best.
Let’s talk about how you can focus on your zone of genius while I bring mine to the table.
